Meeting of Three Rivers Environmental Educators (TREE)

11:00 - 2:00 Omega Protein, 610 Menhaden Drive, Reedville. Interested public is welcomed. Gate guard will direct visitors to the meeting area.

TREE comprises formal and non formal educators from the Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula who are interested in teaching about the environment. Program begins with a tour of the Omega Protein facility, with business meeting following. Please bring a bag lunch.

NOTE: For security purposes, no photography is allowed at the facility.

Invasive Species Workshop, St Andrews Presbyterian Church, Kilmarnock

Over 5000 introduced plant species are now escaping cultivation and destroying valuable habitat. Learn to identify introduced invasive plants, threats to native wildlife, safe control methods and resources for assistance. You can make a difference!!

9:00 - 2:00, Saturday, July 31, 2010. Workshop includes lunch and a short field demonstration on pesticide use.
